What is CJJSA?
The CJJSA is a student run-organization assisted by Criminal Justice Program advisors Carolyn Lesch and Dan Nevers. We welcome all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, that have an interest in the criminal justice system.
What We Do:
- Help students with career decision by providing guest speakers from various professions in the system, who will discuss their experiences in their field and the steps they took to obtain their job.
- Student panels and other assistance to students in the Criminal Justice Certificate Program who would like guidance in selecting and participating in internships
- Providing information to members about volunteer or other opportunities in the community that relate to criminal justice.
- Site visits and tours of criminal justice agencies
- Socialize and learn about classes, job opportunities, etc from other classmates
